Essex Federation is split into five Local Associations due to the geographical distances across the county. This allows members to quickly get support from the union and for training, recruitment and support events to be organised local to our members. The Local Association is the place where the governing of the union happens and is where members get a chance to shape the union. This is done through attending meetings and getting involved with the National Conference.

Local officers organise within the local area. This includes not only organising support in schools for our members, but also organisation of recruitment and training events. In South Essex we are very interested in different ways in which we can support our members and if you have any suggestions please do get in touch, or come along to one of our meetings.
